Project Description

The story of a queen

The workshop, aimed at secondary school students, helps to consolidate the contents of medieval cities and kingdoms, the development of the Iberian Peninsula between the 13th and 15th centuries as well as the main characteristics of Gothic art. It is proposed first of all to the teacher to perform a content preparation activity that will be worked in the classroom through the document ‘History of a Queen’, which allows contextualizing the figure of Queen Mary of Castile as regent in the absence of her husband Alfonso V The Magnanimous. In the monastery the students will carry out a guided tour, individual or team activities and finally they will work a cut-out mockup of the monastery of the Holy Trinity.
